POPULAR SOCIAL DANCES

These dances will have you confident to get up and particapte at any social dance event including cabarets, weddings and parties.

Foxtrot:  Foundation for all dances. Perfect for those easy listening ballads. Most popular social dance rhythm. Can be used to any music except Waltz . 

Waltz:  A dance of Grace  -  Poise  -  Rise and Fall. A dancers dance. Must have rhythm as Waltz is the only dance that fits 3/4 timing.

Tango:   Dramatic music with emotions of Love, Passion and Jealously. How could you not want to learn TANGO!

Rumba:    Slow, romantic latin dance. Perfect dance for developing Cuban Hip Action. A must for those end of evening romantic songs to share with your partner in your arms.

Samba:     You know those songs that have you tapping your feet and wanting you to hit the dance floor. Guaranteed to be Samba. High energy sexy latin rhythms, not easy to resist.

Cha Cha:   Everybody wants to Cha Cha. Why? Because it is the most popular Latin Rhythm. Fun and flirty with strong hip action and a favourite on the dance floor.

Rock 'n Roll:  No matter if you grew up in the 50's and 60's or not. We all love those Rock 'n Roll songs. No dance evening is complete without Rock 'n Roll tunes and no dancer is complete without the skill to dance Rock 'n Roll.

MEDAL LEVEL & ADVANCED DANCES

 These dances require a little more skill to master and students progress to these rhythms once they have achieved a competent level in the popular social dances.

Quickstep:   Light and with flight. Fast high speed energy around the dance floor. Feel the wind through your hair type dance!

Vienesse Waltz:  Who can resist those beautiful Strauss compositions. Popular back then with dancers and still popular today.

Slow Foxtrot:   Take the foundations of social Foxtrot and build onto them the true Ballroom flavour of slow controlled movements, and skill continuity that is the beauty of Slow Foxtrot.   

 Cuban Rumba:   Still with the same passion of love as the social Rumba but with a more open style to express your individuality, and seduce your partner!

Jive:  Fast tripple step swing dance. Jump Jive energy on the dance floor you can't resist watching and can't wait to master.

Paso Doble:  Character dance to Spanish arena music depicting the Matador, his Cape and the Bull. Although not a social dance Paso Doble is captivating and popular with students who enjoy the challenge of building character into their dance.
